The Reviews are in: Kylie Jenners new Skincare Line

We've been reading and watching all of the reviews of Kylie Jenners new skincare line, Kylie Skin, and it's all over the place. She launched 6 products--face wash, toner, walnut face scrub, vitamin c serum, moisturizer, and an eye cream and it looks like she is launching even more! She launched her set of 6 skincare products on May 22nd and it sold out in 6 minutes. What?? All of her products are cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, paragon and sulfate free. But, what are all of the hottest beauty and YouTube influencers saying? We want to give you a recap.

Before we do that though, let?s talk about what is available to purchase from her line. The Kylie Instagram account has been featuring all of her launches, and while, Jenner fans are going absolutely wild for it, because it?s Kylie, the influencer reviews aren?t pulling any favors. According to her instagram post, even though she has been getting some unfavorable reviews, she is still launching new product, because, let?s be real, she can. She has her ?wipe away waterproof eye, lip and face makeup,? towelettes coming out which we can safely say will probably get great reviews. It?s safe for all skin types, including sensitive, and oil-free.

Or we thought it would get great reviews any ways. But, it's not starting out so hot. The Jenner squad isn't thrilled with the towelette pricing because it's $10 for only 30 wipes. We don?t think that?s a terrible price, but, if you wash your face twice a day, you'll need two packs for the entire month..so, basically that will set you back $20! Now we get it.

But, the product that has caused the most controversy is the scrub which has been compared to the old St. Ives scrub. It has walnut as the natural exfoliant which tends to be jagged, and can create micro-tears in the skin. Though Jenner swears it?s fine to use a few day?s a week, the beauty influencers aren?t. Alright, let's see what they are saying.

Jeffree Star Review of Kylie Skin

"My face feels basic. Feel me. Basic!?"-- Jeffree said after sampling the products, while Shane added, "I'd say Kylie is gonna be sad and offended, but I just don't think she's gonna give a f*ck." Meanwhile, Jeffree was just all, "About this one" Absolutely not. She's fine in her seven houses and 60 cars. She's probably pregnant right now and doesn't give a f*ck.

Jeffree also called Kylie's face wipes "dry," and her foaming face wash just okay."

He also complained that he didn't feel as "moisturized as he should," and said the eye cream didn't make him "feel great."

Ouch.

Harpers Bazaar Skincare Editor Review

We checked out the Kylie Skin review from Harpers Bazaar beauty director, Jenna Rosensstein and here's what she says, "If I'm being honest, my expectations for Kylie Skin were low. Formulating skincare products is tough; you'll never please everyone. One person might love fragrance in their cream while another person is allergic. Some of us need an oil-free moisturizer while others like to slather their face in rich oils. Skin care is extremely personal and nuanced, but the Kylie Skin products seemed to be a one-size-fits-all kind of deal. With only one eye cream, one cleanser, one serum, one moisturizer, one toner, and one scrub, I knew the products were going to be basic and gentle. Which isn't a bad thing."

So, it's basic?

YouTuber Caroline Hirons also reviewed the full Kylie Skin collection

Here, Caroline Hirons gives a pretty mixed review of Kylie Skin saying that she wasn't a fan of the face wipes or walnut scrub. But also said this, "What I think we shouldn't forget is there is potentially a whole demographic of young people, predominately girls, young women, who previously may only have used a face wipe and nicked a bit of their mum's moisturizer," Hirons said. "If this is encouraging them to take care of their skin, then I am fully on board."

I mean, we can get behind that.

Patrick Starrr Gives a positive Kyle Skin Review

Though, some people think Starrr is trying to stay on the good side of Kylie PR, we are giving him the benefit of the doubt that he actually is a fan of the new line. Starr says that the foaming facial cleanser was scented too strongly for his preferences and that the packaging for the vanilla-milk toner was "not legible," especially for "a more mature audience."

He ended his reviews telling him followers to check out the Kylie Skin vitamin C serum, eye cream, and walnut scrub.
